About
Living in NYC, Autumn Kohl has had to get creative in customizing small living spaces into functional, peaceful, clutter-free, feel good homes. She prides herself on her impeccable attention to detail and her ability to read a space and execute the design it calls for. She draws inspiration from the creative energy in NYC and the beauty she sees in her travel experiences. She lived and traveled in Asia from 2006-2008 and loves the contrast of old and new, which is a common theme in her aesthetic.
Very thoughtful in her process, Autumn strives to design beautiful spaces that generate an experience. She is a specialist in creating a vibe that is warm and inviting, playful yet sophisticated. Her work features a wide range of styles, but her passion is for the eclectic and unexpected. A vintage enthusiast, the designer often searches local vintage shops and antique markets to find a statement piece of furniture to build a room around. She is not afraid of color or of blending different styles and has the artistry to skillfully pull together a seamlessly cohesive look.
Autumn started formally doing interior design work in 2017 when she was introduced to the founder of a vacation rental management company. She elevates what is typically seen in the short term rental property market and has fun while doing so. She quickly increased profitability and thus became their exclusive interior designer and started working with other clients on referral. She continues to expand her brand with a high volume of properties nationwide. Her work includes NYC lofts and townhouses, luxury apartments in Jersey City, Georgetown townhomes in DC, beach side condos in Venice, California, a hotel renovation in Los Angeles and contemporary homes in Austin, Louisville and Indianapolis. Most recently she completed a glamping resort in Fredericksburg, Texas. She has worked with a wide range of budgets and time frames. The designer’s work has been featured on various home furnishing websites including Article, The Citizenry, Lulu and Georgia, Overstock, Value City Furniture, West Elm and Art.com.
